The Brindley cluster pendant groups five to six dome shaped shades together, each one hand spun in solid copper and bronze, then finished in Slate, a cool mid grey that sits over a warm, naturally reflective metal underneath. Hung at staggered heights, the cluster reads as one fuller ceiling light rather than several small pendants side by side.

The Slate Finish

Slate is a mid grey finish applied to the outside of each shade, while the inside keeps its natural hammered copper surface, catching and scattering light rather than reflecting it in a flat sheet. The contrast between the cool grey exterior and the warm copper interior is part of the Brindley design, and the hammered texture means no two shades catch the light in quite the same way.

How It Works

• Five to six dome shaped shades, supplied on staggered drops for a layered hang.
• Supplied fully wired with a 400mm ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Needs a minimum ceiling height of 1500mm to hang the full cluster.
• Dimmable when fitted with compatible dimmable LED bulbs.
• Each shade takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulbs not included.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting became part of the range later, still hand forged and hot forged from the same Welsh workshop, and this Brindley cluster's Slate shades are shaped and finished there rather than mass produced.
