A Cluster Pendant With Real Presence
The Brindley cluster pendant groups five to six dome shades on cables of different lengths, so they settle at staggered heights above a table or run of worktop. Each shade is hand finished in Heath, an earthy matte green, with a hammered copper lining that throws warm reflected light back down into the room.
The Heath Finish
Heath is a muted, earthy green with a hint of khaki, painted over the outside of each dome. It has a flat, chalky texture rather than a gloss, so it reads as calm and understated on a wall or ceiling. Turn a shade over and the copper interior tells a different story. It is hand hammered, so no two dimples catch the light in quite the same way, with a warm coppery glow that shows through the moment a bulb is switched on.
How It Works
- Comes as a cluster of five to six Brindley dome shades, gathered from one black ceiling rose.
- Each shade takes one E27 bulb, LED up to 6W (bulbs not supplied).
- Works with dimmable bulbs if you want that control, though the fitting itself is not integrated LED.
- Rose measures 400mm in diameter, with each shade around 260mm in diameter.
- Minimum drop from ceiling to shade is 1500mm, giving room to stagger the cables.

The spread of the cluster makes it a natural fit above a dining table or kitchen island, where the staggered heights add movement without one big shade dominating the room. From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and has grown into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and it is that same hot forged copper that lines each Brindley shade in this cluster.

- Every Brindley pendant is handmade to order at From The Anvil's workshop in Wales, so it is non returnable once ordered.
- Covered by a 10 year warranty.
- Wipe the painted exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the hammered copper interior, as they will affect its natural patina over time.
