The Brindley Cluster Pendant groups five to six individually hung shades from one ceiling rose, each dropping to a different height. Every shade is spun from copper and hand hammered on the inside, so the light that escapes underneath always carries a warm, coppery glow, whatever colour sits on the outside.

The Flock Matt White Finish

This version is finished in Flock, a chalky matt white that sits over the copper base coat. It gives the cluster a soft, contemporary look from above, while the hammered copper is left exposed inside the rim, so you still see and feel the texture of the metal underneath every shade.

How It Works

• Cluster pendant with five to six shades, each on its own black fabric flex, hung from a single round ceiling rose
• Ceiling rose measures 400mm in diameter and 30mm deep
• Each shade measures 260mm in diameter and 270mm deep, with a minimum hanging height of 1500mm

Where It Works Best

The staggered drop suits spaces with some height to play with. Think a dining table where you want light spread across the surface, a kitchen island, or a hallway or living room where a cluster of shades adds presence. It also works well in a bedroom, hung slightly off centre rather than dead above the bed.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and every Brindley shade, including this hammered copper one, is still spun and finished there by hand.

• How many shades come with this pendant? This cluster comes with five to six individual copper shades, each hung from its own flex at a staggered height from a single ceiling rose.
• Can I fit a dimmer switch? Yes. The Brindley cluster can be dimmed as long as dimmable LED bulbs are fitted, since dimming depends on the bulb rather than the fitting itself.
• Does it come with bulbs included? No. Each shade takes one E27 bulb of up to 6W LED, and bulbs are not supplied with the fitting.
• How low can the pendant hang? The flex allows a minimum overall height of 1500mm, so the staggered shades can be set to suit ceilings of different heights.
