From The Anvil Hammered Brass Hockley Pendant - Soot (Dark Grey)

The Hockley pendant has a bold, cone shaped shade that narrows to a single point overhead. It is a simple, confident silhouette that works just as well hung on its own as it does grouped in twos or threes, and it gives a room one strong source of light rather than several small ones.

This version comes in Soot, a matte dark grey that coats the outside of the solid brass shade. Look up into it and the story changes completely. Inside, the brass is left in its natural warm tone and hand hammered, so light catches on hundreds of tiny dimples as it spreads down and out. That contrast between the flat charcoal exterior and the glowing brass interior is what gives this finish its character.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering.

The Hockley in Soot carries that same hand finished character, with each shade individually painted and hand hammered inside before it leaves the Welsh workshop.
