From The Anvil Hammered Brass Hockley Pendant - Flock (Matt White)

The Hockley pendant has a bold, cone shaped silhouette that works just as well on its own as it does grouped in twos or threes. This Flock version pairs a chalky matt white exterior with a hammered brass interior, so the shade reads as a soft neutral by day and throws a warm, dappled glow once it is switched on.

The Flock Finish

Flock is a matt white finish applied to the outside of the shade, giving it a soft, chalky surface that plays down the metal underneath. Turn it over and the inside is solid brass, hand hammered so it catches and scatters the light. That contrast between the flat white outer and the warm hammered brass inner is what gives this Hockley pendant its character.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Hockley pendant is hot forged from solid brass in that same workshop, then hand finished and coated in Flock white before it reaches your home.

• Does the Hockley pendant come with a bulb? No. It takes one 6W maximum LED E27 bulb, which is bought separately.
• Can I dim this pendant? Yes. It is dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• How long is the cable? It comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable, along with the ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to install it.
• Where does the brass show on this white pendant? The hammered brass lines the inside of the shade, so it shows once the pendant is lit or when you look up into it, while the outside stays a flat matt white.
