The Harborne pendant has a broad, rounded dome shade that throws light generously across a room, and the Upstream finish gives it a muted, dusty blue that sits somewhere between denim and slate. Hammered Brass, Upstream Finish

Solid brass is worked by hand to create that hammered texture on the inside of the shade, then the outer surface is finished in Upstream blue for a matte, contemporary look. The colour reads calm rather than bold against white or pale walls, and holds its own against darker, more traditional colour schemes too, so it suits a single pendant or a row of them equally well.

Where It Works Best

With a 400mm diameter shade and a 270mm drop, the Harborne pendant has enough presence to hang low over a dining table or work as a run of two or three above a kitchen island, where the hammered brass interior throws a warm, textured pool of light onto the surface below. It also suits a living room or a hallway, anywhere a single striking pendant can carry the lighting on its own.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The brand itself launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. That hot forging process is what gives the Harborne pendant's shade its hammered texture before it ever reaches the Upstream blue finish.

No. It takes a 6W maximum LED E27 bulb, which needs to be bought separately.

No. Every Harborne pendant is made to order by hand in Wales, so it cannot be returned once ordered.
