A Dome Shade With A Softer Colour

The Harborne pendant takes the classic rounded dome shape and gives it a quieter finish. This version is painted in Tump, a pale, muted green with none of the shine of a gloss finish. Underneath the paint the shade is still solid, hand finished brass, so the warmth of the metal shows through in the hammered interior.

The Tump Finish

The Tump paint sits on the outside of the dome only, so when you look up into the shade you see the natural hammered brass, catching the light and giving off a warm, dappled glow rather than a flat white beam. The contrast between the matte green outside and the bright, textured brass inside is what gives this pendant its character.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. It still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, and lighting became part of the range later on. This Harborne pendant in Tump is produced at that same Welsh workshop, part of the wider range that grew out of Mark and Bernadette's original hand forging business.

• Is the Tump finish painted or a natural metal colour? Tump is a painted finish applied to the outside of the solid brass shade. The inside of the shade is left as natural hammered brass.
• Does this pendant come with a bulb? No. It takes one E27 LED bulb rated at 6W maximum, which needs to be bought separately.
