This Brindley wall light is built to point light exactly where you want it. A fully adjustable arm, held by two polished brass wing nut joints, lets you angle the shade up, down or across the wall, making it a genuinely directional fitting rather than a fixed one.

The Heath Green Finish

The shade is finished in an earthy Heath green paint over hammered brass, so the texture of the hammering shows through beneath the colour rather than being smoothed away. Lift your eye to the rim and the brass returns in full, a polished ring that continues into the dimpled brass interior of the shade. The same polished brass carries through to the wing nut joints and the wall rose, so the green sits as an accent against warm metal rather than covering it completely.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering, with lighting like this Brindley wall light produced at the same Welsh workshop. That hand finished character is what gives this Heath green shade its slightly uneven, handmade texture rather than a flat factory colour.
