A Cluster of Hammered Brass Domes in Elan Black
The Brindley cluster pendant groups five or six domed shades together, each finished on the outside in a deep, matt Elan Black and lined inside with hammered brass. Hung at staggered heights, it turns a single ceiling point into a fuller, more sculptural light fitting.
The Elan Black Finish
Elan Black is a flat, matt black applied over each shade's exterior, letting the hammered brass lining take the spotlight once the light is switched on. The hammered texture catches and scatters the glow unevenly, so the light spilling from underneath each shade has a warm, dappled quality rather than a single even beam.
How It Works
- Five or six shades supplied on staggered drops, each 260mm in diameter and 270mm tall.
- Fits a ceiling point with a minimum drop height of 1500mm.
- Comes fully wired with a 400mm diameter ceiling rose and the fixings needed to hang it.
- Each shade takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulbs not included.
- Dimmable when fitted with compatible dimmable LED bulbs.
Where It Works Best
The spread of staggered shades suits a kitchen or dining room where it can hang above a table or island, or a hallway with enough height for the drop. It works equally well in a bedroom or living room as a statement piece over a seating area, particularly in a scheme already working with black and brass tones.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when former metalwork teacher Mark Underhill bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business has since grown into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware from its workshop in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods. This cluster pendant carries that same hand finished hammered brass through into its lighting range.

How many bulbs does this pendant need?
One LED bulb per shade, so five or six in total, each rated up to 6W with an E27 base.
Is the Brindley cluster pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as every bulb fitted is a dimmable LED. A non dimmable bulb will stop the light dimming even on a compatible dimmer switch.
What does the hammered brass lining look like once the light is on?
The hammering scatters the light unevenly across the brass, giving a warm, dappled glow underneath each black shade rather than one flat beam.
Why is this pendant non returnable?
Each one is made to order at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
