A Wall Light With a Softer Shape
The Flora wall light brings a relaxed, organic curve to a room. Its shade folds and dips like a flower head rather than sitting in a strict geometric line, spreading a warm, gentle glow across the wall instead of a single hard beam.
Aged Brass Finish
This piece is finished by hand in aged brass, a warm tone that sits between polished brass and dark bronze. The finish settles into the wavy folds of the shade, catching the light differently across each curve and the smooth run of the adjustable arm.
How It Works
- Takes a single 6W max LED E14 bulb, not supplied
- Dimmable when fitted with dimmable bulbs
- Two knuckle joints on the arm let you angle and turn the shade to direct the light where you want it
- Wall plate (rose) measures 105mm in diameter
- Shade measures 217mm in diameter and projects 224mm from the wall
Where It Works Best
Its soft glow suits a hallway or a kitchen where you want gentle background light rather than a strong overhead beam. Fitted either side of a bed it works well as reading light in a bedroom, and a pair either side of a fireplace or sideboard brings a calm, even light to a living room or dining room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. The Flora wall light carries that same hand finished brass through to its shade, made at the same Welsh workshop where the company's ironmongery is still forged today.
