A Sculptural Aged Brass Shade With a Soft, Flowing Edge
The Flora pendant takes its name from the wavy, petal like curve of its shade. Instead of a hard, straight cone, the rim ripples gently all the way round, so the light it throws is softened and diffused rather than cast in one sharp beam. That makes it a good choice over a spot where people gather rather than work, since it gives a warmer, more relaxed pool of light.
Hand Finished in Aged Brass
This Flora is hand spun from a single sheet of solid brass, then finished by hand in an aged tone that softens its shine and gives it a warm, slightly weathered look from day one. Left uncoated, the brass will keep deepening in colour the longer it's used, so small variations in tone between fittings are part of the finish rather than a flaw.

From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when former metalwork teacher and joiner Mark Underhill bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Lighting came later, made at the same Welsh workshop using the same hand forging and hot forging methods alongside modern engineering. The Flora pendant's flared shade is shaped there by hand, one piece at a time, rather than pressed by machine.

How big is the Flora pendant shade?
The shade measures 500mm in diameter and 146mm in height, with a ceiling rose measuring 106mm in diameter and 20mm deep.
Is the Flora pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even on a compatible dimmer switch.
Does it come with a bulb?
No, bulbs are sold separately. The fitting takes one LED bulb with an E27 base, rated at 6W maximum.
Why is this pendant non returnable?
Each Flora pendant is made to order at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
