A Warm Aged Brass Glow With Room to Adjust
The Brindley pendant is a single hand spun ceiling light in solid brass, shaped with rounded, classic proportions that suit a period property just as easily as a newly built home. Its aged finish gives it a soft, worn in look from the first day it's hung, and because the brass is left uncoated it will keep deepening in character the longer it's used.
Hand Finished in Aged Brass
Each Brindley is spun from a single sheet of solid brass, then hand polished to soften its aged finish and bring out warm variation in the metal. No two fittings age in exactly the same way, so small tonal differences between pieces are part of the finish rather than a flaw.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
- Comes with 1.5m of black fabric cable, so the drop height can be adjusted to suit the room.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E27 fitting, bulb not included.
Where It Works Best
Because the drop can be adjusted, the Brindley works as a single pendant over a hallway or stairwell just as well as it does grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen island or dining table. Its aged brass finish pairs naturally with brass door and cabinet hardware, so it suits a kitchen or dining room that's already working with warm metal tones.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil started in 1996, when former metalwork teacher Mark Underhill bought a small ironmongery supplier and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales. The brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade pieces and has since grown into a family run manufacturer based in Llandrindod Wells, still hand forging steel and brass using many of the same traditional methods. The Brindley pendant is made at that same Welsh workshop, spun and finished by hand rather than mass produced.

Questions People Ask
Is the Brindley pendant dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.
Does it come with a bulb?
No, bulbs are sold separately. The fitting takes one LED bulb with an E27 base, rated at 6W maximum.
Can the drop height be changed after installation?
Yes. It's supplied with 1.5m of black fabric cable, which a qualified electrician can trim and rewire to set the exact height needed.
Why is this pendant non returnable?
Each one is made to order at From The Anvil's Welsh workshop rather than held as ready made stock, so orders can't be returned once placed.
