Because of its scale, Tilling works best somewhere with a bit of wall space around it, a hallway, stairwell or either side of a fireplace, rather than a tight corner. It's designed for general indoor use rather than bathrooms or outdoor spaces.

The story behind Feiss

It was Murray Feiss's mother, Rose, who hand sewed the shades for the earliest Feiss lamps, finishing the imported European porcelain figurines Murray wired into lamp bases at the small South Bronx business he founded in 1955. Three generations later, that business had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and now sitting within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Tilling for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Tilling is one of the brand's larger scale wall lights, built around an oversized traditional profile offered in a choice of Weathered Iron, as here, or Distressed Gold Leaf.
