The story behind Feiss
Feiss dates back to 1955, when Murray Feiss started a small lighting business in the South Bronx, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and relying on his mother Rose to hand sew the shades. Three generations of family ownership grew that business into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, covering chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its design heritage today sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Tabby for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Tabby itself pairs a simple spherical shape with exposed lamping, here in this flush form finished in Burnished Brass.
