Feiss Roscoe Single Large Wall Lantern - Textured Black

A statement lantern for bigger entrances

The Roscoe single large wall lantern is the biggest fitting in the range, built to hold its own on a wide porch, either side of a garage door, or flanking a double fronted entrance. It shares the same rectangular, modern coach lantern shape as the rest of the collection, with striated detailing framing a generous panel of White Opal Glass and a rectangular handle detail finishing the top.

Textured Black finish

The Textured Black finish gives the metalwork a matt, slightly grained surface rather than a polished one, which suits the scale of this larger fitting and keeps it from looking too glossy against brick or render. The White Opal Glass spreads light evenly across its larger surface area.

How it works

This lantern doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. Given its size and outdoor location, we'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation and makes sure the mounting and cabling are properly weathersealed.

With an IP44 rating, it's designed for covered outdoor spots such as large porches, porticos and entrance canopies, rather than positions fully exposed to driving rain. Its scale makes it a natural fit either side of a garage, on a grander front door, or anywhere that needs more visual weight than the small or medium size can provide.

The story behind Feiss

Murray Feiss started his lighting business in the South Bronx in 1955, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and relying on his mother, Rose, to hand sew every shade. Over three generations, that family run venture grew into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, with the design heritage now sitting within Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe, converting designs including this Roscoe lantern to 220 to 240V wiring. Roscoe reworks the classic coach lantern shape with a cleaner, more geometric frame, trading fussier period detailing for the crisper lines of a modern coastal lantern.
