Set against a wall rather than hung from the ceiling, the weathered washed grey finish, floral shaped bobeches and wood bead strands sit closer to eye level, so the soft, French country detailing reads even more clearly.

How it works

This wall light is fixed to the wall on its own back plate and does not come with bulbs, so you'll need to add two to your order, one for each light. As with all wall fittings involving mains wiring, we would recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.

Where it works best

Being a wall light, it works well used in pairs either side of a mirror, bed or fireplace, or singly in a hallway or landing. It is an indoor fitting, suited to living, dining, hallway and bedroom spaces.

The story behind Feiss

Imported European porcelain figurines, wired into lamp bases, were the foundation of the very first Feiss lamps, made in a South Bronx workshop that Murray Feiss set up in 1955, with his mother Rose finishing each one with a hand sewn shade. Three generations later, that small operation had become one of America's best known decorative lighting brands, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, its design heritage now part of Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting each design for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Maryville's soft, French country detailing, its floral bobeches and wood bead strands finished in weathered washed grey, moves here from ceiling to wall.
