The Lighthouse single half lantern has a flattened, half moon profile that sits close to the wall, giving it a slightly more compact footprint than a full lantern while keeping the same nautical character. Clear seeded glass sits within an Aluminium and steel frame.

Textured Black gives the frame a matt, slightly rough surface rather than a shiny one, a finish that wears well outdoors and suits both a traditional cottage style entrance and a more pared back modern porch.

This fitting doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. Given its outdoor location, we would always recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, this lantern is suitable for outdoor use, making it a genuine option for a front door, porch or garden wall rather than just a covered entrance. Its half lantern shape is worth choosing where you want something that sits a little flatter against the wall than a full lantern.

The story behind Feiss

Feiss's earliest lamps, built in a South Bronx workshop in 1955, were made by wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases, with Murray Feiss's mother Rose finishing each one with a hand sewn shade. That small operation grew, over three generations, into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range eventually running to chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its design heritage now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Lighthouse looks to a different source for its own character, taking its cue from nautical, coastal lighting, here in this compact half lantern form finished in Textured Black.
