The smallest fitting in the Galena collection, this single light wall lantern keeps the same elegant, simple design as the rest of the range in a scale suited to gateposts, porch surrounds and smaller entrances. Seeded glass gives the light a gentle, textured quality without any heavy period detailing.

Sable finish

The Sable finish has a deep, near black tone that keeps the fitting understated against most brick, render and stone, while the seeded glass adds enough texture to catch the eye without looking fussy.

How it works

This fitting does not come with a bulb, so you will need to add one to your order. Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician, and that applies especially outdoors, where the fitting needs to be wired and sealed correctly against the weather.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, it suits smaller exterior wall positions such as a gatepost, porch surround or narrow entrance, where a larger lantern would overwhelm the space.

The story behind Feiss

From a single South Bronx workshop in 1955 to one of America's best known names in decorative lighting took three generations of the same family. Murray Feiss started it, wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases while his mother Rose hand sewed the shades that finished them, and the business grew to cover chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings before its design heritage passed to Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its designs for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Galena takes a more pared back approach to the outdoor lantern, built around clean lines and seeded glass rather than heavier ironwork or overtly period detailing.
