The English Bridle single wall lantern brings the collection's countryside character to the smallest scale of the range. A compact, single light lantern with a paned, cage style frame and clear seeded glass, it is sized to flank a front door or light a side or garden entrance without dominating the wall around it.
Black finish
In Black, the frame takes on a crisp, matte finish that reads as classic English ironwork, giving a strong graphic outline against most wall colours. It is a versatile choice that works equally well on brick, render or painted stone, and pairs naturally with black door furniture or window frames nearby.
How it works
This lantern does not come with a bulb, so you will need to add one when you order. It fixes to the wall via a backplate, and as with all outdoor electrical fittings, we would recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation and makes sure the cable entry and wall fixing are properly weathersealed.

The story behind Feiss
Behind the English Bridle range sits a much longer story than the collection's country house look might suggest. Feiss was founded in 1955 by Murray Feiss, who began wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases in the South Bronx, the shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. The family run business grew across three generations into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its heritage today sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has brought Feiss designs to the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting them for 220 to 240V electrics, English Bridle included, a range that itself takes its inspiration from the English countryside and the coach lanterns of a traditional stately manor, offered in British Bronze or Black to suit softer or more graphic garden schemes.
