A substantial coach lantern for a grand entrance
The English Bridle large wall lantern is the biggest of the collection's wall mounted lanterns, a genuinely substantial three light fitting built for a grand entrance, a wide porch or a house that can carry a bigger piece of ironwork. Clear seeded glass fills the paned frame, giving the fitting real presence without losing the collection's old world charm.
British Bronze finish
The British Bronze finish gives this larger lantern a warm, aged look, closer to old wrought iron than new metalwork. On a bigger fitting like this, that warmth helps it settle into a period facade rather than standing out as an obviously modern addition.
How it works
This larger lantern takes three bulbs, none of which are included, so you will need to order them separately. Given its size and weight, secure fixing to the wall matters, and we would recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles both the installation and the weatherproofing of the cable entry.

The story behind Feiss
Imported European porcelain figurines, wired into lamp bases by Murray Feiss, were the starting point for the business he set up in the South Bronx in 1955, his mother Rose finishing each lamp with a hand sewn shade. Three generations later, that small operation had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, its range spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and its design heritage now belongs to Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its designs, English Bridle among them, for 220 to 240V electrical systems. English Bridle takes its own inspiration from the English countryside and the coach lanterns of a traditional stately manor, available in British Bronze or Black to suit softer or more graphic garden schemes.
