The simplest piece in the Drawing Room collection
The Drawing Room single wall light distils the collection down to one arm and one pressed glass bowl, held in a die-cast aluminium fitter with the same fretwork ironwork and overlapping arch detailing found across the range. It is a quieter, more restrained piece than the chandeliers in the collection, suited to spots where you want accent light rather than a centrepiece.
Walnut finish
The Walnut finish gives the ironwork a warm, dark brown character that works well used singly beside a door or mirror, or in pairs flanking a fireplace, bed or piece of furniture, picking up the same period tone as the rest of the range without the scale of a ceiling fitting.
How it works
It takes a single bulb, which is not included, so you will need to add one to your order. We recommend a qualified electrician for the installation, as with all our wall lighting, and fixing is straightforward once the wiring is in place.
Where it works best
This works well in hallways, on landings, or in pairs either side of a bed, mirror or fireplace, anywhere you want a single point of light rather than an even spread across the room. It is intended for indoor use only.
The story behind Feiss
From 1955 to today, Feiss has passed through three generations of the same family, growing from a single South Bronx workshop into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings. Founder Murray Feiss built his first lamps around imported European porcelain figurines, with shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose, and the design heritage he started now sits within Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting collections including Drawing Room for 220 to 240V electrical systems. Drawing Room itself is rooted in an Edwardian ironwork tradition, its pressed glass bowls, die-cast fitters and fretwork detailing drawing on British architectural themes of the period.
