The story behind Feiss

A heavily textured plaster white finish is the signature of the Annie collection, a look rooted in relaxed, coastal design, and a world away from the porcelain figurine lamps Murray Feiss was assembling when he founded the business in the South Bronx in 1955. His mother Rose hand sewed the earliest shades, and across three generations the family operation grew into one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, from chandeliers and pendants to wall lights and outdoor fittings, a heritage now held within Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Feiss designs, Annie included, for the UK and Europe's 220 to 240V electrics.
