The Faro Tejo is a compact outdoor wall light with a clean, geometric presence. Its low rectangular block form sends a soft glow through opal diffuser panels set into both the front face and the angled underside, so light washes gently up the wall and down towards the ground rather than glaring straight outward. It is the kind of understated exterior fitting that frames a doorway or a run of façade without demanding attention in daylight.

The dark grey finish

This version wears a dark grey, anthracite toned finish over its injected aluminium body. The matt metal frame contrasts neatly with the bright opal polycarbonate diffuser, giving the Tejo a quietly architectural look that settles easily against rendered walls, brick, timber cladding and darker painted surfaces. The recessed grey border around each opal panel keeps the light source tucked away and the lines sharp. At roughly 25cm wide and around 11cm high, it stays modest in scale, which suits it to repeated use along a wall or mounted either side of an entrance.

How it works

The Tejo takes a single replaceable E27 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and warmth that suit the setting, up to a maximum of 15W. It is not dimmable. The fitting is mains powered and wired in permanently, so Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where it works best

Rated IP54, the Tejo is protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction, which makes it well suited to genuine outdoor positions exposed to the weather, from house walls and porches to garden walls, terraces, entrance ways and along paths and passageways. Its balanced up and down glow makes it a natural choice for marking a front door, lighting a side return or adding a rhythm of soft light across a longer exterior wall. It looks equally at home on a contemporary new build or softening the lines of an older property.
