A sculptural low beacon for pathways and borders
The Sete is a compact, low level beacon that brings a quietly modern silhouette to outdoor spaces. Two solid cylindrical drums sit one above the other, separated by a glowing opal band that appears to float between them and casts a soft ring of light all the way around. It is a clean, sculptural shape that reads as contemporary without shouting for attention, equally at home lining a path or marking the edge of a planted border.
The dark grey finish
This version wears a textured dark grey finish over its die cast aluminium body, a versatile near charcoal tone that recedes gently against paving, gravel and greenery by day and lets the illuminated band take centre stage after dark. The muted colour suits modern and traditional gardens alike and pairs naturally with stone, timber decking and rendered walls. If dark grey is not right for your scheme, the Sete is also produced in a lighter white finish.
How it works
Light comes from an integrated LED rated at 6W, giving a warm white 3000K colour that flatters planting and hard landscaping rather than washing it cold. Faro lists the output at around 155 lumens with a colour rendering index above 80. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or replace, and the fitting is not dimmable. The opal polycarbonate diffuser wraps the light source to spread an even, glare free glow across a full circle. Standing roughly a quarter of a metre tall, the Sete is designed to be post or floor mounted and wired to the 230V mains. Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
At this low, close to ground height the Sete is ideal for gentle wayfinding: edging a garden path, punctuating a driveway, defining a run of steps or grouping along a terrace or patio. Its 360 degree band of light makes it well suited to open positions where it will be seen and approached from every side, guiding movement through the garden while adding a soft decorative accent to borders and lawns.
Weather resistance
The Sete carries an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction. That makes it a dependable choice for general garden use, standing up to rain and the damp of British weather in open borders, along paths and across terraces. As with any IP54 fitting it is intended for splash exposure rather than sustained immersion, so avoid positions where it would sit in standing or pooling water.
About Faro Barcelona

Questions People Ask
What does the IP54 rating mean for where the Sete can be placed?
IP54 means the Sete is protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction, so it suits open garden and terrace use, though it should not be positioned where it would sit in standing water.
Is the Sete bright enough to light a whole patio?
With Faro stating an output of around 155 lumens, the Sete gives a soft decorative glow suited to marking paths and borders, rather than fully lighting a patio or seating area.
How tall is the Sete beacon light?
The Sete stands approximately 250mm tall with a 145mm diameter, a low profile designed to sit close to the ground alongside paths, steps and borders.
Can the bulb in the Sete be changed if it fails?
No. The Sete uses an integrated 6W LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace over its lifetime.
