The Bruc is a slim cylindrical wall light built for the outdoors, with a clean modern profile that suits contemporary homes and pared back exteriors. Rather than throwing light sideways, it works as an up and down fitting, casting a warm beam upward and downward against the wall to create two soft columns of light. It is a quiet, architectural way to light a façade or an entrance without a fussy lantern shape.

The Dark Grey finish

This version wears a matt dark grey finish, an anthracite tone that reads as almost charcoal against pale render and blends easily into darker brick, stone or timber cladding. The aluminium body has a smooth, understated look with no visible fixings on the face, so it sits flush and neat on the wall. The dark grey is a versatile choice for gardens and modern frontages where a glossy or brass fitting would feel out of place, and it pairs naturally with other dark grey exterior hardware.

How it works

Bruc uses an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. It draws 13W and produces around 830 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, a cosy colour temperature that flatters brick and planting after dark. Faro rates the LED for a long service life, and because the light source is built in the fitting is sealed rather than opened for relamping. This is a mains powered, wall mounted fitting and it is not dimmable. Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where it works best

The up and down beam makes Bruc a natural choice for framing a front door, flanking a garage or lining a path along an exterior wall. A pair either side of an entrance gives a balanced, welcoming glow, while a run of them along a boundary wall or terrace creates rhythm across a larger façade. It suits gardens, porches, driveways and courtyards, and works particularly well on modern and minimalist properties where the plain cylinder form is part of the appeal.

Weather resistance

Bruc carries an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and against water splashing from any direction. That makes it suitable for genuine outdoor use on exposed and open walls, standing up to rain and the general run of British weather rather than needing the shelter of a covered porch.
