Polished nickel and smoke glass come together on this four tier Farnley pendant, which spans from 40cm at the crown to a full 1m at the base and holds 32 G9 lamps. The smoked glass softens the light coming through each tier, giving a moodier, more atmospheric glow than a clear shade would, while the nickel frame keeps things looking crisp.
A pendant of this scale needs somewhere with height, so look to a stairwell, entrance hall or open plan living room where it can drop down as a real centrepiece. It is suited to indoor use, and the ceiling fixing should be rated to take the weight of the full fitting.
