This version of the Farnley pendant combines a brass frame with clear glass shades, letting all 74 G9 lamp holders across its three tiers stay fully visible. The tiers step from 60cm through 80cm to a full metre, and without any tinted glass in the way, the fitting reads as brighter and more classically ornate than the smoked or amber options in the same range.

Choosing Your Finish

Brass gives this piece a warm, traditional tone, and pairing it with clear glass means the metal and the light itself both stay on full display. The same tiered shape appears elsewhere in the Farnley range in other finishes and glass tones, so there's room to choose a different combination if brass and clear isn't quite the look you want.

How It Works

The three tiers carry 74 G9 lamp holders between them, each rated up to 10W, and bulbs need to be bought separately. Fitted with dimmable G9 lamps and a compatible dimmer, the whole pendant can be dimmed. It's built to Class I electrical standards, so an earth connection is needed at installation. The IP20 rating means it's intended for dry indoor rooms only, without protection against damp, so it should stay well away from bathrooms.

Where It Works Best

The brightness of the clear glass combined with the classic brass tone suits traditional or period interiors particularly well, though it can work in more eclectic settings too. It needs a room with enough ceiling height for the tiers to hang properly, a stairwell, an entrance hall or a dining room are all good options. Stick to dry indoor spaces given its IP20 rating.

Because the glass is clear, more of the light from each G9 bulb comes straight through, so it tends to read as brighter than the smoke or amber options in the same range.
