IP20 rating means it is for dry indoor use and not suitable for damp environments.

Will smoke glass make my room look dark?
It softens the light rather than dramatically dimming it. You will still get good illumination, but it will feel warmer and less harsh than clear glass alternatives. If you are concerned, using dimmable bulbs gives you control over brightness.
