Westminster takes a simple band of metal and gives it a distinctive twist, with the band split and curved at one side rather than running straight across. Finished in sand anthracite with polished chrome accents, the form becomes a sculptural feature on the wall, and with integrated LEDs hidden within, it casts light outwards without revealing the source.

How It Works

A 10W integrated LED sits inside the curved band and distributes light across a 120 degree angle, creating a wash rather than a focused beam. The light is warm white at 3000K, giving a cosy glow rather than clinical brightness. It's wired to Class I standards, so an earth connection is needed during installation. The LED is not dimmable, so switching is straightforward on and off only.

Because Westminster reads as a design statement even when switched off, it works best on a wall where its curved form can be properly appreciated. A pair flanking a doorway or fireplace creates a striking symmetrical look, whilst a single fitting above a console table or in a generous hallway becomes a talking point. The angular geometry works particularly well in contemporary living rooms.

The appeal lies in the simplicity of form combined with the visual surprise of the twisted curve. There's no shade to accumulate dust, no visible bulb to distract from the design, just clean metalwork with a subtle movement to it. Questions People Ask

Is this bright enough for task lighting?
At 700 lumens it provides good ambient light, but is better suited to creating atmosphere than providing task lighting like beside a mirror for grooming. If you need a brighter task light, we have other options available.

Can I install this myself?
If you're confident with electrics and have an earth connection available at the wall, yes. However, Class I fittings do require an earth, so if you're unsure it's best to use a qualified electrician.

Why is it called Westminster?
It's simply the design name in the range. We don't provide backstory on names as this is a white label brand, but the curved, architectural form certainly lends itself to that kind of naming.
