The Summerfield kit is for anyone who wants a pendant but wants to specify their own shade. It's just the metal frame, a small cylindrical die cast aluminium piece designed to hang from a standard ceiling rose. Once your shade is attached, you control how the fitting looks and what light it throws.

This frame comes in a sand black finish that's neutral enough to work with most shade colours. The colour is a soft grey black rather than a harsh absolute black, so it sits quietly in the ceiling without drawing the eye unless there's a shade attached that makes a statement.
How It Works
The frame is wired to Class II electrical standards, meaning no earth connection is required. An adaptor is needed to connect it to a standard pendant cable. Once you've chosen your shade and fitted it, you'll have a functional pendant that works exactly as you've specified.

Do I need special installation?
Like any pendant, you'll want a qualified electrician to handle the wiring, as it needs to connect safely to your circuit.
