You can dim it if you use dimmable bulbs with a suitable dimmer. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor use only, keeping it away from kitchens where steam is common and away from any moisture or splashing.

This frame suits dry rooms like bedrooms, hallways, dining rooms and living spaces. Not bathrooms, given the IP20 protection level.
