The linear version of Kingfisher takes the same black frame and smoke fade glass as the round pendant and stretches it out into a 116cm bar of five lights, built for spaces where you need illumination spread along a length rather than gathered in one spot. It reads as a natural pair to the round Kingfisher pendant, so you can mix the two shapes across a kitchen and dining area and keep the finish consistent.

Choosing Your Finish

Finished in black with the same smoke fade glass as the round Kingfisher, the tone shifts gradually along the fitting, giving it some visual movement rather than a flat block of colour. Other finishes are available across the Kingfisher range if black isn't what you're after.

How It Works

Five E27 bulbs, up to 20W each and bought separately, run along the linear frame, distributing light along the full 116cm length instead of leaving the ends dim. An adaptor is needed to fit it. Wiring is Class II, so no earth connection is required, and dimmable bulbs paired with a compatible dimmer will let you control the brightness. Being IP20 rated, it's intended for dry rooms only.

Where It Works Best

This is built specifically for kitchens and dining rooms, running the length of an island or a long table so the light reaches both ends evenly. It's less suited to smaller spaces simply because of its size, but in the right kitchen it does a job a round pendant can't quite match. As an IP20 fitting, it isn't suitable for bathrooms or any damp environment.

Design Details

Stretching the design out into a line rather than a circle changes how the light falls, spreading it evenly along a surface rather than concentrating it under a single point. The smoke fade glass carries through from the round pendant, giving a gradual colour shift that adds depth to what would otherwise be a fairly plain bar shape.
