Double the Dragonflies, Double the Glow
The 2 light version of the Hornbeam table lamp doubles the illumination compared to its single light sibling while keeping the same 40cm octagonal Tiffany shade as the focal point. The shade remains a hand fitted mosaic of purple and pink glass with the collection's signature dragonfly pattern woven across multiple panels, and small crystal inserts catch the light in subtle, sparkling moments once switched on. Two E27 lamp holders sit beneath the shade, delivering noticeably more light output while retaining the soft, atmospheric quality Tiffany glass brings.
Choosing Your Finish
The purple and pink colourway stays consistent across all Hornbeam variants, so you can coordinate a single light bedside lamp with a 2 light console lamp or a larger 40cm version without any mismatch in tone or hue. The larger 40cm shade deepens the colour saturation slightly due to its greater glass mass, giving it a richer, more saturated appearance than the 30cm versions. Other shade options are available across the Hornbeam collection for different room aesthetics.
How It Works
Two E27 lamp holders, each rated to 60W maximum, sit inside the shade and provide the illumination. This two way arrangement gives considerably more light than a single bulb setup while still maintaining the soft, diffused quality of the Tiffany glass. An inline switch controls both lamps together. The fitting is Class II electrical rated, meaning no earth connection is needed. This model offers dimmability when you use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer, allowing you to adjust the light level to suit different times of day or activities.
Where It Works Best
At 40cm across and 52.5cm tall, this lamp works as a main light source on a substantial side table, a large sideboard, or as a generous bedside lamp on a wider nightstand. The larger shade and dual bulb setup make it brighter than a single light version without losing the characteristic warm glow of Tiffany shading. It suits any room where the lamp itself is meant to be a feature rather than simply utilitarian, and the two light output gives you more flexibility in different lighting scenarios.
Design Details
The craft of Tiffany glass lies in the painstaking process of fitting hundreds of individual pieces of coloured glass into a unified structure, each piece selected for its hue and its relationship to adjacent pieces. The dragonfly pattern emerges only when you step back and look at the complete shade rather than examining individual panels. The larger 40cm dimension allows for greater detail in the mosaic than smaller shades can accommodate, revealing more subtle variations in the purple and pink tones and more intricate workmanship in the solder joints and foil wrapping.

Questions People Ask
Is this noticeably brighter than the single light version?
Yes. Two 60W bulbs will produce significantly more light than one, though the Tiffany shade will still diffuse it softly. If you use LED bulbs, you'll get very substantial brightness from the two 20W LED equivalent bulbs.
Can I use different wattage bulbs in each socket?
You can, though for balance and appearance it's better to use matching bulbs of the same wattage in both sockets. The 60W maximum rating applies to each socket independently.
How fragile is Tiffany glass?
The solder joints and foil wrapping make Tiffany glass fairly robust despite its appearance. Avoid knocking it or placing it somewhere it might be bumped regularly, but normal tabletop use poses no particular risk.
