Wired to Class I standards, it needs an earth connection as part of installation, and its IP20 rating means the finished pendant is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms.

Since this is sold as a frame only, where it works best really comes down to the shade you pair it with, though as an IP20 rated fitting it should stay in dry indoor rooms rather than a bathroom. Once dressed with a shade it can be hung singly or in a cluster wherever the finished pendant would suit, from a kitchen to a living space.
