The fitting is dimmable if you use dimmable bulbs paired with a compatible dimmer, and it requires a ceiling adaptor to hang from your existing rose. It's wired to Class I electrical standards, requiring an earth connection. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry interior spaces only.
