Endon Twist Floor Lamp - Oak Effect Resin & Leaf 40cm Herb Garden Green Fabric Shade

A Twisted Oak Effect Floor Lamp With A Green Leaf Shade

The Twist floor lamp takes its name from its stem, a tall rope like spiral in oak effect resin that reads as turned timber from across the room. On top sits the 40cm Leaf shade, a hand made pleated shade in Endon's herb garden green print, a soft sage leaf pattern on an off white ground. Together they make a 160cm floor lamp with a 40cm wide shade that feels classic and a little bit country, without being heavy or fussy.

Oak Effect Resin And Printed Faux Linen

The stem and the round stepped base are moulded in resin with an oak effect finish, so you get the look of a barley twist wooden column with the grain picked out along every turn. The shade is gathered and pleated by hand from faux linen fabric that has been digitally printed with the herb garden green leaf design. It has a taped edge top and bottom and a plain inner lining, which softens the light and keeps the print crisp on the outside.

How It Works

This is a freestanding, plug in floor lamp, so there is nothing to wire in. It takes one E27 screw fitting LED bulb of up to 10W, which is not included, and it is not dimmable. You switch it on and off with an inline foot switch on the natural coloured braided cable, which is 2 metres long in total. The stem comes in two parts that fit together, and the shade sits on top. The lamp is supplied with a European two pin plug and a UK three pin adapter, so you can plug it in straight away.

Where It Works Best

At 160cm tall the Twist is the right height to stand beside a sofa or an armchair, where the pleated shade casts a warm, gentle glow for reading or a quiet evening in. It suits a bedroom corner or a study just as well. The pale oak tone and the green leaf print sit naturally with painted furniture, linen upholstery and pale wood floors, and they bring a touch of the garden into a cottage, farmhouse or softly traditional living room.
