The Ripple Curve wall light takes its name from the ringed cast backplate, a run of concentric circles that ripple outward like water. From its centre a slim curved arm sweeps out and up to a 16cm pleated shade printed with a delicate leaf pattern in herb garden green. It is an antique brass wall light with a country house feel, softened by a shade that looks as if it came straight from the garden.

The ringed wall back is hand crafted from solid cast zinc and finished in a brass patina, which gives it a muted, aged glow with darker tones settling into the grooves. The steel arm matches it and ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder, which sits up inside the shade.

The shade is handmade, with gathered pleats and a tapered shape. It is cut from digitally printed faux linen fabric in a green and white leaf pattern, with taped edges and a plain inner lining. Switched on, the pleats glow warm and the leaves show as soft green shadows. Switched off, the pattern reads as a crisp sage green print against the brass.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and sits over the lamp holder once the fitting is on the wall, so there is a little self assembly but nothing fiddly.
