The Ripple Curve wall light takes a round, sand cast backplate with concentric ridged rings, adds a slim arm that swoops down and back up, and tops it with a 16cm pleated shade in a soft ikat print. The result is a small antique brass wall light with plenty of character that still sits quietly on the wall when the shade is doing the talking.

Antique Brass Casting With A Neutral Ikat Shade

The ripple backplate is hand crafted in solid cast zinc with a brass patina finish, so the rings catch the light in a soft, aged way rather than a polished gleam. The steel arm matches the same antique tone and ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.

The tapered shade is handmade with gathered pleats and cut from digitally printed faux silk in a neutral ikat pattern, the blurred, feathered stripes that give ikat its relaxed look. Taped edges keep the rim neat and the plain inner lining spreads a warm, even glow through the print once the bulb is on.

How It Works

This is a hardwired wall light. It is rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It is dimmable when you pair a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and sits over the lamp holder once the wall bracket is fixed, so there is a little self assembly but nothing fiddly.

Where It Works Best

The fitting measures 19cm high and 16cm wide, and projects 25.5cm from the wall. That makes it an accent light for bedside walls, either side of a mirror or fireplace, or along a hallway or landing.
