A Tall Brass Stem Topped With A Soft Ikat Shade
The Diamond Tall wall light takes a stepped, diamond shaped backplate in antique brass and runs a slim vertical stem up from it, so the whole fitting reads as a tall, elegant silhouette on the wall. On top sits a 16cm pleated shade in a neutral ikat print of soft pink, taupe and cream. It is an antique brass wall light with a traditional backbone and a gently relaxed, painterly shade.
Cast Brass Patina And A Hand Pleated Ikat Print
The diamond wall back is hand crafted from solid cast zinc and given a brass patina finish, so it has the dull, lived in glow of aged brass rather than a polished mirror shine. A steel stem rises from the centre of the backplate and ends in an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.
The tapered shade is handmade from digitally printed faux silk with gathered pleats, a taped edge and a plain inner lining. The ikat print is deliberately blurred at the edges, which gives it a hand dyed look. Lit, the pleats fill with warm light and the pattern softens. Unlit, the pink and taupe brushstrokes stand out clearly against a pale wall.
How It Works
This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting. It is rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not supplied, and it is dimmable when used with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and simply sits over the lamp holder once the wall fitting is in place.

The neutral ikat shade is easy to live with next to white, stone and soft grey walls, and it picks up nicely on pink, terracotta and natural linen textiles.
