A Quatrefoil Backplate And A Soft Neutral Ikat Shade

The Anvil Angle wall light has a shaped cast backplate in antique brass, a plain right angled arm and a 16cm pleated shade printed with a neutral ikat pattern. The print runs in soft blush, taupe and off white, so the shade looks pale and quiet by day and warms up noticeably once the bulb is on. It is a small antique brass wall light with a traditional bone structure and a gently modern shade.

Cast Brass Patina And A Hand Pleated Ikat Shade

The backplate is hand crafted from solid cast steel and given a brass patina, which leaves it with an aged, slightly uneven surface rather than a polished one. Four visible screw heads sit at the corners of the shape, and the straight arm steps out from the centre before turning upward to an authentic brass B22 lamp holder.

The tapered shade is handmade with gathered pleats in digitally printed faux silk. The neutral ikat print is edged with matching tape at the top and bottom, and the inside is plain lined, which keeps the light even and stops the pattern showing through in reverse.

How It Works

This is a hardwired, wall mounted fitting rated Class I. It takes one B22 bayonet LED bulb of up to 7W, which is not included. It is dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The shade comes in its own box and sits over the lamp holder once the wall bracket is fixed in place.
