A wedge of light with a mind of its own

Zola swaps the traditional lantern shape for something more architectural, a low wedge of stainless steel with a round light head set on a pivot at its tip. Angle it down over a step, across a doorway or along a path, and it holds that angle until you decide to move it again. It sits flat and close to the wall rather than projecting outward, so the profile stays clean even in daylight.

Dark grey finish

The body is 304 grade stainless steel, finished in a dark, almost charcoal grey paint rather than left bright or polished. It's a matte, slightly textured surface, the kind that hides fingermarks and rain spots better than a gloss finish would, and it reads as modern and understated rather than traditional lantern styling.

How it works

An integrated 16.5W LED puts out 1500 lumens in a warm 3000K white, aimed through the round head so the light lands in a defined pool rather than spilling everywhere at once. The head pivots on the knuckle joint beside it, secured with a small locking screw, so once you've found the right angle it stays put. It isn't dimmable, so what you get is the same steady output every time it's switched on, and as a Class I fitting it needs to be properly earthed during installation.

As an exterior fitting, Zola suits front doors, side passages, garden paths and steps, anywhere you want a defined pool of light rather than a wide wash. The adjustable head means one fitting can cover an awkwardly angled wall or a run of steps without needing a second light. It's rated IP44, so it's built to cope with rain and the kind of splashing an exposed exterior wall gets.
