A crown of light
Windsor takes its shape from an open coronet, a wide banded ring curving up into slender uprights that gather at a central stem. Four candle style lamps sit around the ring on scrolled arms, each finished with a ball finial, while faceted crystal drops hang beneath and catch whatever light passes through them.
Gold patina finish
This version is finished in a warm gold patina, worked to leave a softened, slightly weathered surface rather than a flat uniform shine. Cut crystal drops hang from the ring and the centre point, adding a controlled amount of sparkle without tipping into anything too formal. Small cross and fleur motifs are worked into the band itself, a detail that reads best up close.
How it works
Four E14 lamp holders sit openly around the ring, so the fitting still reads as a feature even before a bulb is switched on (LED candle bulbs are not supplied). The chain lets the drop be adjusted from around 63cm up to 209cm, so it can be hung high over a table or lowered for a more intimate pool of light, and it responds to a dimmer switch when fitted with dimmable bulbs.
Where it works best
Its scale and sparkle suit a dining table or kitchen island, somewhere it can be seen from across the room, though it works just as well in a hallway or stairwell with height to spare for the chain to show.
Elstead Lighting
Windsor is part of the Elstead Lighting collection. The brand takes its name from The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, where its history began, and remains led by the same Lucas family today.
