A statement lantern for a grand entrance

The Wilmslow is a big, bold take on the Victorian street lantern, cast in aluminium and finished in deep black. Its tapered glass panels and pineapple finial give it real presence on a porch or gatepost wall, while the ornate scrolled wall bracket beneath does the quiet work of setting the whole thing at a jaunty, old fashioned angle.

Shown here in black, with a textured paint finish across the cast frame, roof and bracket. The glazing is clear, so the single bulb sits in full view rather than hidden behind a shade.

How it works

One E27 lamp holder sits centrally inside the lantern head, wired through the scrolled arm from a wall plate concealed behind the ornamental bracket. As a Class I fitting it needs a proper earth connection, so have it wired in by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its scale suits a wide porch, a grand front door or a gate pillar wide enough to carry the bracket comfortably. Because it is genuinely large at over a metre tall including the bracket, measure your wall space before ordering rather than judging by the product photos alone.
