The Wilmslow is a big, bold take on the Victorian street lantern, cast in aluminium and finished in deep black. Its tapered glass panels and acorn finial give it real presence on a porch or gatepost wall, while the ornate scrolled wall bracket beneath does the quiet work of setting the whole thing at a jaunty, old fashioned angle.

Textured Black Finish

Shown here in black, with a slightly textured paint finish carried across the cast frame, roof and bracket. The glazing is clear rather than frosted, so the bulb sits in full view instead of behind a shade, and the tapering panels catch the light differently depending on which side you are standing.

How It Works

One E27 lamp holder sits centrally inside the lantern head, wired through the scrolled arm from a wall plate concealed behind the ornamental bracket. As a Class I fitting it needs a proper earth connection, so have it wired in by a qualified electrician rather than fitting it yourself.

Where It Works Best

Its scale suits a wide porch, a grand front door or a gate pillar wide enough to carry the bracket comfortably. Because it is genuinely large at over a metre tall including the bracket, measure your wall space before ordering rather than judging by the product photos alone.
