A lantern that hangs rather than sits

Suspended from its own black chain, the Wexford Chain Lantern has the same boxy glazed shape as the rest of the range, but the chain fixing gives it a slightly softer, swinging presence rather than the fixed stance of a wall bracket.

Finish

Chain, cap and frame are all finished in black with a brushed silver highlight worked into the moulding, so the metalwork still has some shine to it under porch lighting.

How it works

A single E27 lamp sits behind four panes of textured glass, each one marked out with a leaded diamond, so the light comes through softened and slightly patterned rather than as a hard beam.

Where it works best

The adjustable chain drop, from 46cm up to 90cm, makes this useful for porches with some height to play with, or anywhere you want the lantern hanging a little lower than a standard flush fitting. It is built to the same pattern as the Wexford wall and pedestal lanterns, so it is easy to match across a porch and path.
