A lantern that hangs rather than sits

Suspended from its own black chain rather than fixed to a wall bracket, the Wexford Single Chain Lantern has the same boxy, glazed shape as the rest of the Wexford range, but the chain fixing gives it a softer, slightly swinging presence over a porch or entrance.

Finish

Chain, cap and frame are all finished in black, with a brushed silver highlight worked into the moulding on the domed roof and corner posts, so the metalwork still catches some shine under porch lighting rather than reading as flat black.

How It Works

A single E27 LED lamp sits behind four panes of textured glass, each one marked out with a leaded diamond motif, so the light comes through softened and slightly patterned rather than as a hard, direct beam. The lamp itself is not included, which leaves you free to choose the brightness and colour temperature.

Where It Works Best

The adjustable chain drop, from 46cm up to 90cm, makes this useful for porches with some height to play with, or anywhere you want the lantern hanging lower than a standard flush fitting. It follows the same pattern as the Wexford wall and pedestal lanterns, so it's straightforward to match across a porch, path and gate.
