A quiet circle of light
The Tamar keeps its job simple. A wide cylindrical drum of opal glass sits flush against the ceiling inside a slim polished chrome frame, held in place by two thumb screws either side of a neat centre finial. There is no shade to angle and no arm to position, just an even spread of light exactly where the ceiling meets the room.
Finish
This size of Tamar is finished in Polished Chrome, a bright, mirror like tone that runs the full length of the trim ring and continues through to the small finial beneath the glass. The drum itself stays a soft, neutral opal white, so it is the chrome edge that catches the eye rather than the diffuser.
How It Works
A single GX53 LED lamp sits behind the opal glass, and because the glass is opal rather than clear, it spreads that light evenly across the whole disc instead of leaving one bright point in the centre. The two thumb screws on the trim ring hold the glass drum in place, so removing it to change the lamp is simple hand tightening rather than tools.

Tamar is designed as a bathroom fitting, and at 9.5cm deep it sits close to the ceiling, which also makes it a good fit for landings, corridors and any room where a deeper pendant would hang too low or feel out of place.

What bulb does the Tamar flush fitting use, and is it included? It takes a single GX53 LED lamp rated at 9W. The lamp is not included, so you will need to fit your own before installing the light.
Is the Tamar flush fitting dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable GX53 LED lamp. A non dimmable lamp will not respond to a dimmer switch even if the circuit supports one.
What sizes and finishes does the Tamar range come in? This is the Large size, finished in Polished Chrome. The wider Tamar range also covers a smaller size and a Polished Gold finish, so you can keep the same design consistent across more than one room.
