The Stow is a tall, narrow lantern with a distinctly medieval silhouette, a domed chimney top topped with a ball finial, small vent holes below it, and a hammered panel on the roof where a real lantern might once have had a handle. It looks like something taken down from a castle gate rather than ordered from a catalogue.
Old bronze finish
Finished in a deep, almost black toned bronze, the wrought iron frame holds four panes of seeded glass, the kind with visible bubbles and ripples, which breaks up the light rather than showing a plain, flat beam.
How it works
One E27 bulb sits inside on a wall bracket visible through the glass, wired to Class I standard so it needs an earthed supply. It will dim with dimmable bulbs. No bulb is included.
Where it works best
At 45cm tall but only around 11cm across, it is built for pairs either side of a front door, exactly as shown flanking an oak entrance in a stone cottage. It also suits gate piers or a boundary wall where a narrow, upright shape fits better than a wide lantern.
- One E27 bulb required, not included
- Seeded glass panels
