Elstead Provence Single Floor Lamp - Old Bronze

A lamp built to bend to the task

The Provence floor lamp borrows its shape from the drafting studios and reading rooms of France in the mid 1900s: a slim upright column, two hinged knuckle joints and a wide angled cone shade that swings and tilts exactly where you point it. It's a lamp with a job to do, and it does it with a fair bit of character.

Finished in Old Bronze

This one is dressed in Old Bronze, a deep, almost blackened metal tone with a soft warmth that catches the light along the curve of the shade and the knuckles of the arm. It reads more industrial workshop than French salon, which is part of its appeal.

How it works

Two adjustable joints let the arm fold down for close, focused light or extend out for something broader. The cone shade tilts independently at the head, so once you've found the angle you want it stays put until you decide otherwise. A weighted round base keeps the whole thing steady even at full stretch.

Where it works best

Set it beside an armchair, a desk or a favourite reading corner of a home office. Its narrow base means it slots into spaces a table lamp couldn't reach, while the long arm brings the light exactly over the page or the paperwork.

Part of a wider family

Provence also comes as a single pendant and a rise and fall pendant, plus a wall light and table lamp, each sharing the same cone shade and a choice of Aged Brass, Old Bronze or Polished Nickel, so it's easy to echo the shape through a room without matching it exactly.
