Elstead Pinner Single Table Lamp - Subtle Pink & Matt Cream

A lamp with a bit of quiet character

The Pinner table lamp is built around a ceramic base shaped rather like a spinning top, narrow at the neck and flaring out to a wide, stable foot. It is the sort of shape that looks good lit or unlit, on a bedside table or a console.

The glaze is a soft wash of subtle pink over a matt cream ground. Because it is a reactive glaze, no two bases will look quite identical, and colour can vary a little from one lamp to the next. It is topped with a cream faux silk cylinder shade and a polished nickel finial for a neat finishing detail.

How it works

A single bulb sits inside the drum shade, giving a warm, even glow that is easy on the eyes at bedtime or in the evening. It comes with an inline switch on the cable, so it is easy to turn on and off without hunting around at the base.

Where it works best

It is a natural fit for a bedside table, but the size and shape suit a console in a hallway or a side table in the living room just as well, somewhere it can sit at eye level and be appreciated for its shape as much as its light.

It may need a little simple assembly on arrival to make sure it reaches you in perfect condition, and because of the reactive glaze, expect gentle, natural variation in colour rather than one flat, uniform tone.
