Light thrown up instead of down

Most wall lanterns hang below their bracket and send light down toward the ground. The Parish Single Up Wall Lantern turns that around, with the lantern head sitting above its arm so the single lamp inside washes light upward across the wall instead.

Black die cast aluminium and glass

The six sided lantern head is die cast aluminium finished in black, with six glazed panels around the light source and a pointed finial standing proud at the top. The textured black finish reads closer to ironwork than a flat painted surface, and it is built to weather outdoors without the upkeep real cast iron would need.

How It Works

A single E27 LED lamp holder sits inside the glazed head, angled so the light spills upward and across the wall surface behind it rather than down onto the ground. Fit a dimmable LED lamp and the brightness can be turned down rather than simply switched on or off. The lamp itself is not supplied.

Where It Works Best

It suits anywhere an upward wash of light works better than a downlight, either side of a garage door, under a gable end, or up against a stone or rendered facade where the texture catches the light thrown across it. Rated IP44, it is built to cope with rain and damp conditions on an exposed exterior wall.

Part of the Parish Range

This up facing lantern shares its die cast head and six glazed panels with the Parish Single Down Wall Lantern, just mounted the other way round so the light falls downward instead of up. Fitting one of each either side of a doorway gives you a choice of direction for the light on each side.

Does the Parish Up Wall Lantern come with a bulb? No. It takes one E27 LED lamp, which is not included.

Can this wall lantern be dimmed? Yes, as long as it is fitted with a dimmable E27 lamp. A standard non dimmable lamp will only run at full brightness.

Is the Parish Up Wall Lantern suitable for outdoor use? Yes. It is rated IP44, so it is built to withstand rain and damp conditions on an exposed exterior wall.
