Flip the usual wall lantern the other way up and you get this: the Parish Up Wall Lantern sits above its bracket rather than below it, so the light spills upward and across the wall instead of down onto the ground.
It has the same die-cast aluminium body and six glazed panels as the rest of the Parish range, finished in black, with a pointed finial standing proud at the top rather than hanging beneath the arm.
How it works
The bracket fixes low on the wall and the lantern head sits above it, angled so the single E27 lamp inside lights the wall surface itself. Fit a dimmable bulb and the brightness can be turned down rather than just on or off.
Where it works best
Useful anywhere you want to wash light up a wall rather than down onto a path, stone or render facades, either side of a garage door, or under a gable end where an upward throw of light looks more flattering than a downlight.
Look at the Down Wall Lantern in the same range if you'd rather the light fell the opposite way, the two share the same lantern head and just swap which way up they hang.
