Elstead Parish Single Pedestal Lantern - Black

Standing at about knee height, the Parish Pedestal Lantern is built for the low, freestanding spots a wall light or lamp post can't reach, the edge of a border, the corner of a patio, the start of a path.

The lantern head is the same familiar shape as the rest of the Parish range, six glazed panels under a peaked cap, but here it sits on a short black die-cast aluminium plinth with a hexagonal base you fix straight down onto a hard surface or plinth of its own.

How it works

Light comes from a single E27 lamp inside the glazed head, and you can dim it if you choose a dimmable bulb. Because it stands at ground level rather than hanging from a wall, it lights the space immediately around it rather than a doorway.

Where it works best

Think flower beds, low garden walls, gravel paths and the corners of a patio, anywhere you want a pool of warm light close to the ground rather than up on a wall. It also reads nicely lined up in pairs along a driveway or path.

It shares its lantern head with the taller Pillar version in the same range, so if you need more height further down the garden, that one is worth a look too.
